At Modern Ancient Sanctuary, safety is our number one priority.

We confirm the suitability of our students through a risk based screening process to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.

While the majority of our students have reported positive benefits, psychedelics can bring about intense and often unpredictable experiences that may not be suitable for everyone. Therefore it is essential to screen individuals before admitting them to our retreat programs.

To honor safety, we carefully evaluate each student's risk level through a case-by-case assessment, considering various factors. Please note that our retreat programs are not designed to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

Our booking process comprises the following three key steps:

review contraindications via retreat booking page and checkout for reservation request to hold your retreat date and room preference
receive email to schedule your online personal 1:1 session & complete prescreening
complete payment via secure email link provided to finalize your booking and confirm your place

THE ONLINE BOOKING PROCESS

Checkout: submit your booking reservation ('place order') to hold your retreat date and room type, and receive your confirmation email.
Receive email to book your personal 1:1 session: choose an available date and time from the online scheduler (video conferencing) & complete prescreening
Submit payment: we will review your details, approve your place and send you an email link for payment within 24 hours to successfully complete your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received. Due to the high level of personalization and limited places, we do not hold appointments or places if payment is not received within 24 hours after sending the link.

Complete our online Student Assessment Form before your personal 1:1 video session to help us to get to know you better and prepare for your journey
Receive Modern Ancient Sanctuary preparation materials
Attend your personal 1:1 video session
Provide your flights and insurance details when requested
Attend your retreat program
Receive Modern Ancient Sanctuary integration materials
Book and attend your personal 1:1 integration video session
If participating in an Iboga microdosing program, you will receive our Iboga mircodosing guide and attend online coaching sessions

CODE OF CONDUCT

At Modern Ancient Sanctuary, we strive to create a safe and positive environment for all. Therefore we ask that students honor our guidelines and expectations in order to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for everyone.

1. Respect For All

Behavior: Please refrain from any language or behavior that is judgmental, critical, harmful, aggressive, or disrespectful to other students, staff or the environment. We expect all participants to act with kindness, respect, and compassion towards themselves and others to honor each other's journey and process.
Listening: Our facilitators are experienced and knowledgeable, and we ask that you listen to their guidance and follow their instructions during the retreat, including specific protocols for ceremonies and rituals, for your own safety and that of others. We request that you refrain from any disruptive behavior during these events. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to discuss them with the facilitators in a respectful and constructive manner.
Traditions: Our center values and honors various traditions and practices. We ask that you respect and honor these practices, and refrain from any behavior or speech that may be disrespectful or inappropriate.
Privacy & Confidentiality: We ask that all students respect the sacred space and the privacy of others. All information shared during the retreat is confidential and must not be shared with anyone outside of the retreat center. This includes sharing communications, photos, videos, or any other content that may identify other students without their permission.
Environmental Awareness: We ask that all students respect the natural environment and avoid any behavior that may harm the flora and fauna in the area. Please refrain from littering, using plastic products, or engaging in activities that may harm the ecosystem.

2. Inclusivity, Non-Discrimination, and Safety

Inclusivity: We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, or any other characteristic. Discrimination, harassment, or any other behavior that makes others feel unwelcome or unsafe will not be tolerated.
Reporting: If you witness or experience any behavior that violates our commitment to inclusivity, non-discrimination, or safety, please inform a staff member or facilitator immediately.
Substance Use: Our center prohibits the use of any illegal substances, including drugs, tobacco and alcohol, during the retreat.
Vegan Menu: Our center offers a vegan menu to all participants. We kindly ask that you respect our commitment to a vegan diet during your stay with us. Please refrain from bringing any non-vegan food or drinks onto the premises. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform our staff in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

3. Consequences for Violating the Code of Conduct

Consequences: Failure to comply with these guidelines, including any behavior or speech that violates our code of conduct will not be tolerated, and may result in immediate expulsion from the center without refund.
